A collection of more than 2,000 books and films on Tibet is being made available to researchers, journalists, scholars and the public as part of the new Tibetan cultural and diplomatic center at the International Campaign for Tibet.
The focus of the library, housed in the ground floor, is books about contemporary Tibetan history, politics, culture and religion. The library also has sections on Tibet's environment, the Dalai Lama, travel and tourism, refugees, art and photography. In addition, there are many works in both Tibetans and Chinese languages and a large section of reports and documents on Tibet issued by the US Government.
The library is open to the public Monday to Friday, between 2 - 5 PM. Books must be used on the premises and a photocopier is available for limited photocopying. (No charge for less than 25 copies.)
