The Compassion Rising World Tour was a global campaign launched on March 10, 2025 to honor the 90th birthday of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama and to share his enduring message of compassion, courage, and universal responsibility.

The campaign brought together communities, organizations, and individuals across the world to celebrate His Holiness’s lifelong commitment to peace, nonviolence, and human values. Through gatherings, cultural events, film screenings, advocacy initiatives, and digital storytelling, Compassion Rising invited people everywhere to transform compassion from a principle into action.

Over the course of the campaign, 67 events across four continents united thousands of participants—from Dharamsala to New York, from London to Ulaanbaatar—demonstrating how compassion can connect communities across borders and cultures. These moments of shared reflection, celebration, and advocacy reflected the universal relevance of the Dalai Lama’s teachings in our modern world.

The Compassion Rising website originally served as a hub to document these global events, share resources, and invite people to host their own “Tour Stops.” While the active campaign has now concluded, this page preserves the spirit and story of that collective effort.

The legacy of Compassion Rising lives on in the communities it connected and the actions it inspired. The movement continues through the work of the International Campaign for Tibet, carrying forward His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s message that compassion is not only a moral value—it is a powerful force for positive change.
